Week Extension + Phase II CR Post!

Hello, everybody!

After some mod deliberation, we have decided to extend Week #31 by another OOC week. We mentioned this was possible, and we know several of you were against it, but we feel it is necessary. We do not quite have everything lined up to launch Phase II and would rather not have the IC events prompting it go up after it’s started. We also would rather get a few things out of the way. We’re sorry about this!

However, because it is so soon, we think this is a good time for this weekend’s meme: a new CR post! Since Phase II means everyone, whichever world they originated from, is on the same world, a lot of new CR has opened up!

So, it is time for planning and discussion! Feel free to tag in, explain what you expect your characters to do at the start of Phase II, and make ideas with each other.

Malachai Brampton (PC)

UH first thing after the merge is finalized is he'll freak out about his family not living in Fall City, not knowing if his baby brothers are okay, or if he'll ever see them again. :D

Then there's other stuff that'll be happening.


Zachary

Zach will probably go back to the Nenakret, possibly start looking for a place there (probably with Nayan?). Sorry Victor he's probably gonna sell the house in Stonecaster.

He still wants to be a cleric, but he doesn't want to associate with Bastan. He maaay wind up opening up a clinic in the Nenakret or something??

Also he wants to find his brother.


Irena

...Not much will change for Irena what with already being able to explore both worlds, though she may be disappointed she can't get to the mainland and expand her exploration. :( Otherwise business as usual? Lots of research in the World Library, hanging out with Nova (which means potential CR there), and I think she might start trying to check in with people she hasn't seen in forever.


Valentine

She wants her powers back! >:| Possible to run into people who fucked off to Earth before she gets her druid powers back, if anyone wants 'wtf' moments about her being a spellsword? (HIBI LET'S GET VAL/NOVA IN)

Once she has her powers back I'm not really sure what she'll do. Other than be happy to be a druid again. Probably party. Get drunk, pass out, wake up, drink some more uh yeah.

Then she'll remember she was supposed to be planning a party and start trying to hit up Lera for help in organizing the BIGGEST PARTY EVER to celebrate the end of the war and Aerveas' fall (maybe the masquerade could be part of this? so far her 'plans' include a tournament and lots of booze, with a bit of discussion about possibly having the alchemists provide rides.)


Tavan

Tavan will probably head back home once the merge is done, but after having gotten a taste for Adventure (TM), he won't be able to stay there. Having a stable home is something he's become rather fond of, but whether or not he can stay with Anais once Fall City and Bastan are fully together he has no idea.


Malachai Dominga (Alt)

Although he's currently NPCed, if anyone wants him for anything, he's available. I hope to work on expanding his CR without having to focus too much on him with the intent of bringing him back from NPC status at some point.

He'll be taking the league back to Safta, most likely, rejoining those they left behind and working to reorganize the league based on the new needs of a merged Zenderael. This will probably include upgrading the league hall with computer technology and continueing to aid Earthers in either finding housing/work or which guild they think they'd be best working for.

Gabe will give Mal hugs. (It's not so bad, Mal... :( No, really, it's not. Don't be sad.) And also drag him and Duncan to the World Library because he promised he would.

Alt!Mal made noises about rejoining the Amber Gaze once. Lera'd take him if he did (probably with a reasonably high rank). They should meet up again now that the war's done, though, either way.

Lera should run into PC!Mal too. It's been awhile (or, uh, first time OOCly they'll have had a log).

Chisaki should meet Irena and Val more but that's not new to Phase 2, I think.

Marlene will be reconnecting with Mal D and helping him resume leadership of the league and whatever else. He'll get a big hug and an earful.

Maybe Artemis could be trying to be nicer to Irena in light of his forced character growth?

And Mal and Duncan will continue to be bros ofc.

Something that Guin made me realize and be a potential for fun, I would like some Lynea/Val CR!! They're both self-serving people with little care in the world outside of enjoying the fuck out of themselves.

Harriet will be BUILDING AN EYEBALL aw yeah, as well as helping plan the masquerade and nebulous stuff related to postwar political settling that could have her out and about in random places on the Zen continent.

I am all for Val being involved in the party planning and expanding it to include extra events -- maybe Harriet meets her through Lera and puts her in charge of organizing a cool shindig to bring the worlds together in togetherness.

Harriet is available for MAD SCIENCE SHENANIGANS and can also be met in a more official capacity if someone wants to bring an issue to her while she's holding court, or find her wandering around alchemist HQ.

As for Nova, he will be SO HAPPY TO SEE EVERYONE AGAIN ZENSIDE OMZ. Even you, Val. You might have to annoy and alienate him all over again! That hard work, gone! He will, however, be considering yet another career change, along with Chisaki. He is available for all of the usual Nova shenanigans of being a slightly insane meddler and all up in everyone's business. There are some extra things going on with him as well but ~spoilers~ for now.

ALSO she'll def be up for pestering Nova. I'm not sure how subdued she'll be initially but once she gets her powers back she'll be TRYING to be her old self I GUESS WE'LL SEE HOW IT GOES

I would like more Harriet/Rhys! Political stuff can be used as an excuse (it's not hanging out, it's a diplomacy meeting yeeeah-- though maybe it's that too), but the Undertow is going to be locked down a while. Maybe a log of depetrification potion tests not working?

Rhys
Being the Ahura! His war losses finally having a quiet moment to sink in. Rhys is pretty bummed and struggling to move past all the things that happened. I am hoping his general drop off in communications may begin to improve overtime, though.

Pre-Undertow, he's got the guild camped nearby Bastan, helping Everea reconstruction unless Omid makes him relocate. Post-Undertow, he will be focusing on the recovery of his guild and the people who lost time to petrification. He will want to ask clerics/paladins for help when the restoration takes place. Many of the hunters and berserkers there at the time were badly wounded. Those hunters and the hunters in general will be welcome to use the Undertow as shelter.

Victor
He plans to eventually move back to the Undertow when it's restored, and for now won't be far from Rhys/Ash. He is pretty much obligated to drop everything and do what the Spenta asks, and even if he doesn't live in Bastan, the interests of the paladins are high priority. Victor is still trying to learn to live with himself and find answers to redemption.

He is much more free for CR in general now that being exposed is no longer a fatal concern and will be using d-mail to get back in contact with CR. I am okay with cornering him for cannot-tell-a-lie shenanigans, and am interested in someone trying to re-explain technical truths to him so he might relearn that.

Gunnar
He wanted to live his life out as a Normal Earth Boy and is not okay with this merge. Protecting Theresa is number one priority. Avoiding getting dragged into assassin work is number two. Not opposed to that happening anyway.

Gill Fever taught him underwater hunting is an untapped market. Possible alchemist CR as buys underwater breathing potions, sells ingredients, and tries to set himself up with powerful gear just in case. Lookit him so secretly afraid for everything, daww.

Virelai
She will run errands around the world for any of your convenient CR needs. She's more confident in herself after War Events and tries to look out for people and cheer them up as much as she tries to hit things good.

Half considering having her start some kind of war restoration charity operation, but nothing fleshed out on that front yet. Or maybe she'll volunteer to help out the Red Cross that came with Fall City? Rhino ambulance?!

Missie
I am heavily considering her becoming a druid (water!), but nothing set in stone. Cleric and mage are other considerations, Missie wants to be able to heal. (You don't want her learning fire magic to cauterize your wounds do you. Do you.)

However, she will get hit with wanderlust and want to aimlessly explore the new merged world once she feels comfortable enough with her guild powers. Missie, don't hurt yourself.

Iravati
Her primary concern right now is Ravindra's mental health and preventing Akhilendra from wrecking it. The rest of the time, Vati continues to serve Lerazda as her BFF and messenger. She will be excited to see Nova again and continue living in the Safta side of Zen.

Depending on events in game, she might try changing guilds. It will most likely be spellswords because of her work with Lera, but she might choose something else as long as she thinks she can maintain freedom.


I haven't NPC'd anyone yet because I keep making AC, but fair warning that I heavily consider NPCing Virelai and Iravati. I am having trouble making enough room in my head to keep track of my roster, especially combined with mod things. Please don't hesitate to speak up/remind me of any plans you wanted!

I'm also good for Tyrus finally delivering those goods to Gunnar and getting a working relationship going, now that the diseases are done. This could lead to entanglements with Tyrus figuring out Gunnar is an assassin and attempting to use him to do assassin work down the line?

Also Travis should meet Rhys again at some point.

Lera and Missie clearly must meet again. I am game for Missie runs into Acher and confuses the hell out of him some time, too (tho we may want her status as Lera's roomie unknown).

Also also, I am game with Lera making Iravati a spellsword! It might be fun if this caused issues with the assassins down the line or, uh, some problems with keeping work and friendship separated early on.

EDIT: Also also also (...), it will be sad if Vati and Vivi (V3?) get NPCed but that's how it goes. Alas, poor Bograak.

Ah to get back to this properly, though!

Ezra will be doing his best to support the berserkers, so he will be mediating as best he can if Omid has a problem with them being nearby, trying to find a comfortable milieu for the parties involved. Rhys he will be checking up on however/whenever he can but also just hanging out with because he likes hanging out with rhys.

I was going to say nadir and missie should travel around BUT SHE'S DEAD. So nevermind. >:|a

Ummm... we have a Rhys/Rei lined up don't we. We should get on that asap. I don't quite know what I want out of it long term is the problem. She won't necessarily be a threat but I would understand if he didn't want to speak with her ever again, hahaha. :|

Gabe's going to be Fall City-side when Phase II merging happens (Mal, he may ask to bunk with you for the night, if only because crashing in his dorm will be crazy weird for him; he doesn't feel like he has the right to go there anymore since being the Asha kind of makes him not a student anymore), but once Fall City's back with Bastan, he's going to be looking into ways to depetrify the Undertow that don't involve potentially destroying what relationship they may still have with the druids. (He's also going to encourage screening for a Vohu who understands the responsibility associated with being a guild leader and a druid, but this is more because he still has issues with Aerveas' pile of ashes; seriously, guys, Aerveas may be fertilizer for a planter or something in Gabe's workroom in the near future.)

Nayan is looking to reestablish connections and find somewhere new to live (with Zach, of course)! I'd like him to get a proper network going, preferably of PCs this time, so anyone looking to get rid of questionably acquired merchandise, obtain questionably acquired merchandise, or just looking for some information should come find Nayan. He'll be getting his monetary stash back, so compensation for this can finally be a thing.

Anais is going to be crazy conflicted here. She's gotten used to not having the paladins around her permanently, but at the same time, she misses them. Having them back will be all kinds of wonderful, but she hasn't been part of a unit for so long that trying to reintegrate will be awkward for her. Plus, you know, she's used to having Lynea and Tavan around. It will probably take her all of two days to realize this and her realizing she isn't sure she can have both. She might ask about whether or not she can keep teaching (just because this amuses the hell out of me). Regardless, I want her to get some CR outside of her comfort zone, so I welcome anything and everything with her. (You get additional bonus points if you add to further conflict with regards to her guild.)

Eileen! Eileen needs help, guys, you don't even know. I adore my little paladin, but her CR circle is currently painfully tiny and I need to fix that. She'll be kicking around Bastan now that they have it back, but the girl needs friends. Please, someone, for the love of all that is holy, help me :(

Mal still has his place and Gabe's always welcome! But, uh, he may have to bunk in Mal's room since the living room is home of little robot arachnids and his potions lab. PS, he's making a few little robot lizards for Gabe that he'll want to imprint on Gabe. Probably chameleons because their big eyes make them really cute??

Zach/Nayan should get a fancy place together. 8D

Tavan can network with Nayan! He may still want to stay with Anais after his trip 'back home' (which means for the first few days he'll be gone from Fall City, but he'll come back when he realizes he kind of misses staying with her), but he'll be free to explore/wander and will def want to expand his skillset to acquire more interesting items.

AS FOR EILEEN uh I can offer up uh alt!Mal perhaps? I think he'd be the best suited for friendship with her that isn't already tied into your other characters. >_> (There's Val, too, but alt!Mal really needs more CR so I can un-NPC him at some point. :x)

Lera is going to the Mazda! She will be spending a couple of IC weeks (32 and 33, probably) in Bastan, helping guide the spellswords who are mopping up the last of Aerveas's forces. She'll be around Fall City for that time, and I'd really like to get a chance for her to meet up with the old Earth CR that she left behind! Anais, Missie, Duncan, Mal B., et cetera.

In the medium-term, she is going to be going between the Nenakret and Bastan some still (...yeah, mostly to see Ezra and stuff), but she's also going to try to keep the war's alliance permanent with the GLs. This means periodic guild leader summits, probably in Mianeh?

She'll also be meeting people in the Nenakret. IF YOU WANT SOMEONE TO JOIN THE AMBER GAZE, that would be awesome and cool!

Chisaki is going to stick with Nova and become a rogue. She is actually going to be a bit of a criminal because she has, well, a complex where she thinks her past Earth life is basically over. So she may be trying to scam people and doing a cat burglar type deal.

I'd love to make more CR with her and maybe have her get in some trouble as time goes by.

Tyrus is going to be in a tough spot. His life on Zenderael, including his links with Bohun Upas, is back. However, he has to maintain appearances as Travis. He will be trying to balance that with his mail order alchemy business. In general, I am game for him having CR both posing as Travis -- so "reunions" with Gabe and such would be fun, plus meet ups with Mal and Duncan! -- and as Tyrus (who he'll behave as in the Nenakret).

He is going to start his plan to destroy Upas from within. I want to build this up over time. THAT SAID, if you want your characters mixed up with Upas, there may be fun times ahead?

Acher is going to lay low for awhile. I may NPC him depending, as I'd rather not have him start immediately causing a lot of trouble again. He is going to set up shop in the hunter HQ and basically rule over that part of the coastline for awhile. Down the line, he'll get back on the warpath.

Ashtaroth will be basically wherever Rhys and Victor are, so predominantly Bastan, but then between Bastan and the Undertow once it's cured. She'll be free for CR anywhere there, easy to bump into or if anyone needs a cleric for anything. She'll probably be a little curious about Theresa, and Fall City will be much more welcome than Giza in terms of what Earth has to offer. She'll probably get caught up more in Order business, as their already small number has been further reduced due to war.

Ezra will be busy working to rebuild Bastan and organizing parties to go out into the rest of Everea to make sure everything is settled there, too, and may join a couple of those parties while he's at it, just to get a good look around. Could do something about that?

He will also still, in a sense, be recovering, what with getting a new eye, and will probably start looking into better armour and weaponry, plus all the training. He thinks a lot of what happened to him was a failing on his part, so he'll be doing what he can to correct that.

Also his family is there because Underwood will be hitching a ride? Hello Amoses how are you tonight my there are a few of you. This might sound terrible but I don't want to RP any of them really so I might slide them in as an aside here or there but bleh to family members.

Theresa will be seriously considering joining a guild in order to protect herself better in the hopes of taking some of the pressure off of Gunnar once they're in Zenderael. (Considering druid because I don't want two mages, but mage will work out for her too, tbh.)

Nadir will just be all "yes finally" because Earth was okay but let's face it, Zen is better. He may stick around Bastan a bit for Rhys and Ezra but ultimately get back to possible adventuring.

Reilanin will be at the World Library doing what Reilanins do, which is enchanting stuff. She has no personal agendas or plans and will be doing Upas enchanting business along with her regular stuff without much regard for who she's doing it for.

Keeping Chisaki's CR up with Victor and probable CR with Ash up sounds like it would be a good idea!

I figure Lera will be visiting Ezra some like we discussed, ha ha. She could also meet Nadir again, which would probably be fun given how the last one went. She might get some training for him or ask to come along on a hunt or two to practice her abilities in front of him?

Lera should also bump into Ash for realsies.

There could also conceivably be Ty or Travis and Theresa interactions? Especially if Ty is doing things with Gunnar.

Duncan will be spending a lot of time in Bastan, let's leave it at that.

Siegmund will be unavailable for logging for a few IC weeks, but he will be reachable through long-distance communication methods and will be posting on the boards. When he returns, idk, there's some stuff that needs to get figured out re: the Greycloaks before I decide what all is going on with him. But I am always down for just doing stuff with his CR!

Ravindra will...be...experiencing technical difficulties. Basically he's going to end up losing the separation between Ravindra and Akhilendra, merging both personalities into one consciousness, and making him a mix of both. HARSH ADJUSTMENT PERIOD. He might have to take some administrative leave to get himself together? idk. that's up to the Spenta. I'll just have to play this out and see where this goes.

Artemis will be reconnecting with Nova and trying to give his life meaning. I'd like to establish CR with Iravati and Chisaki, as well as let his other CR change and grow along with him. He's currently trying to force character growth on himself so that should be fun.

LeiLei is seriously considering becoming a berserker but she heard that their home base is petrified, still indefinitely, so she's waiting for that to be resolved BECAUSE WHAT IS THE POINT IF YOU CANNOT GO TO THE UNDERTOW IMMEDIATELY

Marlene will be leaving Bastan and moving back into her home in the Nenakret. Good-bye Marlene u_u/ Though she and Duncan will be back and forth a lot to see each other because they're pretty tight. She'll also be resuming her position with DE as Mal's first officer, though he'll get a serious dressing down for the choices he's made in the meantime. (it's because she loves you, Mal.)
