[Weekchange] Week #01: Jan 8, 2050 - Jan 15, 2050
Game start!
Note: If you're not accepted to the comms yet, please check your invites. I sent them out to everyone who was missing last night!
Let's talk about how this works. Every two weeks, on Sunday, I will put up a weekchange post like this one! This is our first weekchange post, changing from week 0 to week 1. Weekchange posts will contain any OOC news of note, a summary of events of the past week, any upcoming events for the next week, and weather patterns for the next week.
The game is starting ICly on Saturday, January 8th, 2050. (Fun fact: the weekdays vs dates for 2050 are exactly the same as for 2011.) This will actually be an 8-day week, as weekchanges happen on Sundays, but don't think about it too hard.
If you need a system to remind you what OOC days are which IC days, here's a list:
Sunday/Monday=Sunday
Tuesday/Wednesday=Monday
Thursday/Friday=Tuesday
Saturday/Sunday=Wednesday
Monday/Tuesday=Thursday
Wednesday/Thursday=Friday
Friday/Saturday=Saturday
I'll try to get an OOC google calendar running to help keep this straight.
And now into the meat of the post!
Jan 8, 2050 - Jan 15, 2050
OOC News
There will be no activity check for January, because it is the first month of play after you all apped and you're exempt from AC the month you app the char.
Snapple is on hiatus until the 16th because she will be undergoing foot surgery, so direct all concerns to The Guindo until then!
Last Week...
Was not really a week, but more a nebulous period of "anything that happened before the IC start of the game." Still many things happened during this period! The game timeline is fully updated.
Yoiko decided that Rayu was an incognito version of a character Rhys played before his accident, a paladin named Victor who disappeared after betraying his comrades. His return brought a lot of fallout, from the assassins who pressured him into the betrayal, the little brother he was trying to protect (Zach), and the people connected to Victor in the past.
Other than that, most of what's been going on is simple first-encounter logs or run-of-the-mill CR. Nothing especially pressing has occurred yet!
Next week...
School starts for everyone who is attending a school! Elementary, high school, and college alike. Monday is the first day back to school from winter break. Enjoy!
Grocery stores are having sales on ramen, for all you starving college students out there.
The weather...
Sat/Sun are overcast with occasional drizzle.
Monday begins a torrential downpour that lasts most of the day.
Tue/Wed/Thu it drizzles through most of the day, with actual rain through most of the afternoon.
Friday is an all-day drizzle with an hour of sunshine around 3pm. Blink and you'll miss it!
Saturday cannot decide if it wants to rain or not, and compromises most of the time.
