Lisa at the Undertow!

Hi everybody!

After talking to Guin some, we've decided that -- rather than have a backdated scene that's largely exposition with Lisa -- we would prefer to just do the screen off-screen and do an outline of what happened. That is the purpose of this post.

Lisa is going to be brought back to the Undertow. Once she is there, she will reveal the following information:

1) As Lisa said in the event post, she worked for X-DAV. She was hired as an event writer; some of what she wrote has happened. She isn't sure if she made it happen or if she was somehow chronicling things that would happen, like a prophet. She is honest about this and maybe a little guilty, hence all the donations to reconstructing Bastan.

2) Kandre Volcano is starting to act up because of a magma leviathan underneath it, named Kaga. Kaga is an immense fire dragon, whose awakening could cause Kandre to blow its top because he will wake up irritated.

3) The way to stop this is to feed him. Kaga is a fussy eater; he wants very good and high quality food, which means a feast is in order. She says that Kaga is supposed to reward whoever makes the finest dish with a treasure, but she was never told what it was.

Let's figure out the following: what people who were there did, what questions were asked, and anything else. Lisa will ask Rhys if she can stay in the Undertow permanently; she is scared that the Greycloaks may want to finish the job.

Tai Feng sits in the back for half of it with her shirt off because she's fussing over the blood in her clothes. (She'll remember she has a ratty old spare eventually, it's ok)

The whole It Was A Game thing is still really weird to her so she stays quiet for most of Lisa's explanations unless something happens to prompt her.

So the only thing I can figure out is food stuff for now. Once Ezra hears about it he'll be like "what, that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard >:|" but since it'll be true he'll consider it and try some stuff, and end up cooking with his mom, who is a pretty damn good cook.

Rasmus can be in the background peeling potatoes.

Nadir can make an awesome stew but he will not make it. Instead he will go collecting ingredients and hunting rare monsters for their bits and pieces! So if anyone wants involvement in that, lmk.

Rei is the worst person for this so she will not be involved, unless it is to eat things.

Theresa can cook but it's all bland, simple stuff, so she's out, too.

Ash can also cook! But it's also simple, utilitarian type of convent food so not much to work with there.

As I said for the evac, Ezra will be there but will go in last so that he can go rescue some folks. Paladins will be there to help, though, so they'll go in to try and help protect anyone else who's helping out.

Rhys will let the guild leaders know the general gist of what Lisa said; I can do a thread post for this later once we have infos hammered out if you guys want!

He will probably ask a lot of questions about how and why until realizing these are all dead ends, then just focus on what's going to happen and how to stop it. He will also specifically ask Lisa how much time they have before this happens.

There will be a permanent arrangement in the Undertow but sry it's the Undertow, it's kind of like living like a bear or a squirrel. HOPE THAT'S OKAY. Despite what she's done/her big mouth, he does appreciate her donations, guilt, and cooperation, so he will be pretty gentle with her in communications.

Nova will be there paying super rapt attention during the "I helped make the game" part and grilling her with existential/random questions about how much control they had over Zen, how they learned about Zen, what the office where they worked looked like, why she decided the things she decided would happen! Not necessarily all things she'd know or that sound relevant.

As well as technical questions like how "making the game" WORKED. A bit worked up about it, but fortunately not going into some sort of indignant rage or anything. Eventually he'll get the picture that she doesn't know that much and hush up so she can finish explaining what she's got to say.

Once she moves on to the volcano stuff he'll tune out a bit, why would volcanoes going off be his problem specifically when there are guild leaders about?

Tavan will pay attention to every word Lisa says and probably be real curious but let other people drill her with questions and take mental notes, possibly actual notes on his cell phone. (And then later write it all down on paper and dmail it to Deathbringer. ALL OF IT.)

He thinks this whole 'feed the giant monster to stop the volcanic eruption' is ridiculous and probably something that was made up by Earthers that somehow BECAME REAL and kind of wishes he'd known about this whole thing back when it was possible to make things happen so that he could try making things happen :x

Siegmund goes home to get cleaned up and change first, but then he goes to Rhys's tree to listen to whatever it is Lisa has to say. This means he is probably late to the meeting but he'll get caught up on whatever he missed.

He kind of hangs out in the back and doesn't say anything, but he's listening. He'll be easy to miss because he'll sneak in during the infodump and just be there in the background suddenly.
