[Mod Post]

We planned a pretty eventful week and WHOOPS we had several things come up that we didn't account for. There was a major convention which ate up three players for a full weekend, one mod moving across the country, and another mod also moving the weekend after.

So we're down to one mod for the moment with a second event post planned for tomorrow when the IC week hasn't advanced past Sunday because everyone's been waiting on the event post before we move on.

OBVIOUSLY going ahead with the week as outlined in the weekchange is, at this point, inadvisable.

Question #1: How is the event going to turn out?
• Does Lisa survive or is she killed?
• Whose hands does she end up in by the end of the chase (alive or dead)?

As long as we know those two things, we will be able to move on. How we get there isn't as important. Post discussion in this thread.

Question #2: How should we handle the week?
• Keep events as planned but add a week extension?
• Keep it to 3 weeks and push the other event (the Kandre Volcano landslide) to next IC week?
• Other?

Suggestions and alternatives welcome in the comments! Post your responses here.

My two cents here: Tavan won't be giving up on stalking/trying to get Lisa away. I don't know whose side the Armaiti is on so I have no idea how that'll affect things? But my plans were to either have him get her away while everyone was busy, or, if they managed to save her, to play up the part of getting swept up in things until such a time as he was able to let Deathbringer know where Lisa was hiding to get to her.

Tai Feng is bombastic enough to keep trying to sneak Lisa off during the chaos, but she's low on resources after that last move so she may end up improvising. Right now she is behind because she did a big stunt and needs to catch her breath, since she tried to pry Lynea off of Rhys, the only person here with a clue. If things got desperate enough she might try to pounce on Lynea just to free up Rhys as a bigger heavy, but for now she's hoping she Snared Crazy Lady.

W/r/t Lisa she is not quite invested enough to take a bullet for her but would do her best to keep her out of harm's way, including throwing her out of the way of attacks. If given half a chance she will literally grab Lisa by the arm and bolt for the nearest Warp Mage screaming SAFTA SAFTA SAFTA SAFTA because when she thinks of authority she thinks of Lera. (Unless someone advises her that Rhys' presence means the Undertow is safe, then she'd use that).

So I guess 'TF will attempt to keep her alive unless doing so would cause TF herself serious harm' and also 'Tai Feng will attempt to get her warped to either the Nenakret or Undertow depending on if someone tells her who Rhys is.'

I'm still trying to catch up and all that, but a few notes!

If Rhys is held up by Lynea or the Armaiti, he won't be able to reach Lisa and it will be up to the others unless people are comfortable with Rhys pulling out the stops/Ahura Fury/etc. (Though Rhys vs Armaiti, even in Fury, would not be in his favor. I envision this as more like holding off the Armaiti for others to get Lisa!)

If he DOES get to Lisa, he will take her to the Undertow. If Tai Feng succeeds and he hears of it, he will follow her to Safta.

Rhys is tenacious and obnoxious, but the other characters in play here can shut him down in various ways if we want Greycloaks to win. It's pretty flexible on my end and I'm okay with him sustaining more serious injury to make it happen.

OOC as a mod I should probably not weigh in on which way it should go, haha. I will facilitate for others. \o/

I'd selfishly like her to live long enough for Nova to find out she was involved in creating the game because he'd have a strong reaction to that, but that may occur mid-chaos rather than her necessarily needing to make it out of the event alive/un-kidnapped.

Suffice it to say if he learned that was her background his vested interest in keeping her alive (in order to grill her with questions) rather than just saving his own skin would go way up, but I can't really vouch for how useful he'd be in this conflict even going all out.

I like the idea of keeping it to three weeks and pushing the next even into next IC week, if only to avoid Yet Another Week Extension. >_> (YAWE!)

Second-thought:

If it's possible maybe push the next event towards the end of the next IC week? It would give me a chance to get Yosgeth stuff going without fretting about missing something/interfering with modstuff, plus there are a few other things I'd like to do to push personal arcs forward and the extra time would give people breathing room to be involved SINCE EVERYONE ALWAYS HAS A MILLION THINGS GOING ON (though mostly Guin >_>)

I vote (with Nova apparently) for moving the second event to next IC week and not doing an extension. The game feels a bit "on pause" right now and I think that by slowing down IC time, that feeling will only get worse.

HOWEVER I also didn't personally have any plans for the latter part of the week, and will happily defer to muns who did have plans and might not have time to play them out, now.

Tex has pitched like two or three different versions of the same post-Event beat to me so I will probably have at least one other log to do in Week 35. I also have like three other people I want to get with but there's no compelling reason they can't be in Week 36 instead.

I'd be OK with extending week 35 by one week but more would definitely contribute to this feeling of pausedness Nova mentioned. I might say do that /and/ push Kandre Volcano back to 36 but that seems like it risks making it really bad. One or the other though at least.

It might be a smart idea to keep the week moving forward but move the event to the week after. That way we can still get on with things and also catch up with what we're not done with. A breather week that'll allow people to introduce new things?

I mean it would be nice for me, since I will also be moving in two weeks' time and it would be awesome to know things are still kind of going and no one's being held up necessarily but I'm also not missing anything plotwise :|a

Works for me! Tai Feng will come along because of course she will.

Apologies for spotty absence! This is good with me and Rhys will offer shelter to those who tag along as well for helping out. He's a little suspicious of Tavan right now, but the lines are blurry enough that if Tavan plays dumb enough he will err on the side of not being needlessly hostile.
