Applications

Submitting an application
Post your completed application in the comments here, either as a series of comments or as a link.

Then e-mail the app to zenderael@gmail.com, with the character's name in the subjectline.

Yes, we want you to post them and e-mail them. The post is so that other players can see them, and the e-mail is so that the mods can easily organize and search without having to scour a bunch of comments.

Post a top-level comment with the character’s name in the subjectline. Please post the app from their character journal. This makes it easy on us as mods to update all the info and get your character invited to the comms.

Notes on apping
Because Zenderael and the Earth have merged, you can apply for characters who were native to Earth or to Zenderael. Characters from Earth need not have played the game, while characters from Zenderael can be player-made or native (essentially, they were NPCs when it was an MMORPG). You do not need to app a Zenderael character as the former alt of an Earth native, but you can do so. Please tell us if you do this.

Apps
We have two different apps because we have two types of appable characters.

Zenderael Native Characters
Earth Native Characters

Zenderael Native Characters

These characters originate from Zenderael, be it as formerly played characters or NPCs. While the vast majority of Zendereans were never played by someone, there are no restrictions on whether your character was formerly an NPC or alt. The merges may have caused them to go to Earth before the worlds finally combined. If this was the case, please let us know.

PBs for these characters can be real life actors or 2D/CGI.

Earth Native Characters

These are characters that originate from Earth. They may have played the game, or only become aware of Zenderael in a meaningful sense after it began noticeably (and disastrously) merging with the Earth. Since then, they have gained access to class powers by joining guilds, just like Zenderael natives. Characters from Earth could have been sent to Zenderael before.

PBs for these characters can be real life actors or 2D/CGI.

Anathema

[identity profile] deadlyhaste.livejournal.com 2011-12-09 11:17 am (UTC)(link)
Name: Anathema
PB: Astharoshe Asran from Trinity Blood
Level: 100 [She has a lot of time for gaming]
Class: Assassin
Build: Combat
RP? NPC? RP
Misc: Anathema is an assassin, right down to her bones. She kills people. And she doesn't care who it is. Even her friends aren't safe if the money's right or the guild sends her after them. However, on her own time she likes to toy with her prey, beating them to near death and then leaving them to crawl home. Repeatedly, if possible. It's fun.

She likes to create chaos. She will organize an assault on a raid group or training group just to wreak havoc, slaying half and leaving half alive. She is an anathema. People learn to hate her, despise her, want revenge. She enjoys causing such feelings, and yet, she has managed to earn mercy from some of the overly goody types. Only to turn around and stab them in the back, chortling gleefully as she scampers off into the sunset.

She isn't the sort to have many friends, at least none that last long.

White tresses drape down around her pale face, a lock of blood red at her brow, her hair flowing down to near her ankles. Red lines her eyes and tints her lips and brows. She wears frills and decorative yet functional armor and slays with a flourish, favouring dual blades. She wears a lot of blue.

Irena Rose

Name: Irena Rose
PB: Tear Grants from Tales of the Abyss
Level: 100 [She has a lot of time for gaming]
Class: Mage
Build: Combat
RP? NPC? RP
Misc: Irena nearly didn't make it through the training process. As it is, she came out of it with her brain only partly intact. She has moments of perfect clarity where she seems almost normal! But those don't happen often. Most of the time, she's distant from people, and loses herself in any number of odd habits, such as talking to animals as though they were conversing back, staring off into the sky to count the stars, or such.

She seems cautious, perhaps even shy, a lot of the time, and other times she'll just walk up to you and pet your hair, or mutter something about how pretty you are. Or strange. Or unique. She's very timid, until it comes to combat.

Once combat starts, even then she may seem distact or distracted, but never misses a spell when it's needed. She can go from picking flowers to blasting the big bag ogre in the face and right back to picking another flower all in a span of seconds. In a big fight, she'll focus entirely on battle, losing herself to her spells until the field is littered with enemy corpses and piles of ash. And then go right back to being her usual timid self as though nothing had happened. She's good at what she does, even if her behaviour makes it seem like she'd be a very poor mage.

She currently has no affiliation outside of the mage guild, and only does the odd job for them. They mostly leave her alone, and she wanders the countryside looking for people to latch on to. When she does find someone, she'll follow them timidly, quiet, speak hushedly when spoken to, or even not hear them. But she'll persist, and help them if they ever need it.

Irena Addendum

Irena has, for the most part, been flitting about wanting to investigate all the things ever. With all these strange buildings showing up in Zen, many of which hadn't existed in the part of Earth she'd been able to explore, she just -had- to see them all, and take several pictures. Her collection of photos surpassed her phone's storage capabilities, so she wound up purchasing a computer on which to store them.

And now that computers work in Zen, she's got that with her at all times as well as her phone! YAY!

She kept bringing Jordan gift baskets of food until she returned after a few days to find the last one untouched. Not wanting the food, or any future gifts, to go to waste, she retrieved the basket she'd left, rescuing what was still good of it to feed to her unicorn, and offering the fresh basket to someone in Bastantown. She left a note for Jordan, but hadn't thought to try calling. Phone calls were still something she hadn't really done.

She dropped by Nova's a few times to leave notes and gifts, but hadn't seen him, and with all the things to explore, hadn't thought to track him down. Everyone was so busy!

Ria Redman

[personal profile] animatedterror 2012-06-20 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Name: Ria Redman
PB: Irisviel von Einzbern from Fate/Zero
Level: 10
Class: Alchemist
Build: Combat
RP? NPC? RP!
Misc: Ria Redman was the daughter and only child of two assassins. Her father was an assassin of some renown when her mother met up with him, choosing him to produce a child. Her mother, unfortunately, was the Anathema, a notorious assassin affiliated with the cult of Akeshetos.

Her father named her, and attempted to raise her in her mother's absence until she was the age of ten. At this point, her mother returned, and began working to break the girl. Through a series of planned situations, she caused the girl such torment that none should ever wish upon another, ending in the death of her father while she watched.

She became an assassin at the age of sixteen, after six years of torment. She became the new Anathema, the new worshipper of Akeshetos.

She remembers none of this.

She was recently 'saved' by Rayu, a hunter who Anathema had been tormenting much as Ria had been with the intent of him becoming the next Anathema. When he found a book explaining the Anathema bloodline and their ties to Akeshetos, he took it upon himself to stop her, and do anything in his power to save Ria in the process.

He succeeded, and Ria was broken from the Anathema 'curse'. Unfortunately, she lost all her memories. Her name is familiar to her, and she remembers common knowledge things, but anything of herself beyond her name is unknown to her.

After a pilgrimage with Rayu for company, she chose to join the Alchemists, turning her back on her previous Assassin ways. With any luck, she won't be recognized as the Anathema...

She puts some effort into altering her appearance, through the use of alchemical potions and lotions. While the Anathema had had a red streak in her hair, it had been dyed as a symbol of the position, and she no longer maintains it (she doesn't even remember why she did, anyway).

She has decided to focus on constructs as an alchemist. Creating creatures to aid in hunting, combat, mending, and other such things, and dabbles in invention and potion-making. Her combat style relies on combat constructs and firearms, keeping herself at range while her constructs stay between her and her enemy.
