OOC News
Snapple has dropped. Her RL was too busy for her to devote the time she wanted to this game, and she felt it wasn't fair to keep people waiting on her. With her go Bene, Sascha, Ed, and Go.
Because the forced character-realing was based on Snapple's god-organ arc, we had to shift things around in light of her drop. The intended date remains the same (November 25th, originally an IC Sunday, now the latter half of IC Wednesday), but the IC week was bumped up.
Last Week...

Jordan is now on Zenderael.
Rayu is teaching her how to be a Hunter.
Rasmus is now on Earth.
Lera is feeding him food.
Alessia and Yonca are now real, but also sharing a body.
Siegmund finally got his Star of David back. Tristan is less than thrilled by the Ahura-method.
Nova is surprisingly good at mediation.
DUCKS!
Also Rayu finally knows about Ravindra and Alex.
But mostly ducks.
FCU got bombed by some jerk from SCHS and Harriet became the Khshathra. Welcome your new Khsharriet, alchs.

Bombing Aftermath
The culprit was apprehended and the police obtained the locations of his bombs and had assistance in disarming them. The school grounds are safe from further explosions. However they are not safe from structural damage, and pretty much the entire campus except the dorms has been police-taped off so that crews can sift through rubble for bodies and anybody still trapped.
Obviously, classes have been cancelled again. Physical classes, at least. Some instructors (but probably not your Zen instructors) may choose to continue online portions of their courses.
While FCU classes have been cancelled, SCHS classes are unaffected. Their school didn't get bombed, after all.
Unified Board
With more tablet research and post dragons making connections to Earth, as of Sunday the alchemists (and maybe the mages helped a little) have discovered how to build a connection to Earth's internet. Their tablets and devices now come equipped with this or can be updated with a small fee, and the default home page leads to the X-DAV forums.
The PC online comm can now be used to make posts from Zenderael.
This includes public posts and PMs, and zen-tablets come equipped with their own e-mail addresses. Anyone in Zenderael who has a tablet can make posts. Or use Google. Some have found the Zenderael wiki and, confused and offended, have more or less taken over to correct all the information.
Tablets are continuing to evolve with other applications, including video and audio recording. Feel free to make up magical apps Zen developers might have come up with, although keep in mind most would be in alpha or beta mode.
Earthers who brought their own phones/tablets over are also reconnected to the internet now! Still no phone calls to Earth, but call/text functions now work within Zen.
Zenderael Politics
The Khshathra is missing. The Mazda, already looking after the country in her place while she was away, has stepped up to take a more active leadership role. She's sent a platoon of Ambereyes to what's left of Bastan to start asking questions.
She's also trying to get the Asha to help her out, since they sort of have joint leadership responsibility in the Khshathra's absence, but he's being less than helpful.
In Bastan, technically the Vahishta has authority in the queen's absence, but the Spenta has gained some responsibility as well. Not that they have much to be responsible for at the moment...
Earth Politics
As explained here, some pretty heavy things happened on Saturday. By Sunday, the dust has settled a bit, but the Queen is demanding to see the leader of the realm. The best she can get is the mayor of Fall City. While they may be having difficulty understanding one another, it seems there will be a tentative peace as long as no one shakes the Queen's nest.
Paladins and clerics maybe begin acting as if they have more authority now, but everyone has enough of the same goals that this isn't much of a problem. Yet.
Except...a few people from Lera's company doing research for soil analysis get a little too far onto castle grounds for the queen's liking and are apprehended and thrown into the dungeons on grounds of trespassing. Whoops.
The Secretary of the Treasury is now the President, technically, but without other branches that's questionable. People are in a panic, but state governments are mainly dealing with that. [The current SoT/acting president is a straight hispanic cis man named Darren Reyes. Public opinion on him is largely nonexistent because he hasn't been in the public eye much.]
The UN is calling for meetings between world leaders, with affected countries in a panic over the disappearances of their cities.
Server shutdown
And on Tuesday the UN comes to a sudden and surprising consensus (surprising because when does the UN ever come to a consensus, much less suddenly?). Wednesday morning, the military occupying Fall City marches into X-DAV's offices and begins shutting down the servers. By Wednesday afternoon, all of X-DAV's game servers, websites, etc are gone. The servers have even been physically removed from the building and air-lifted out for examination elsewhere.
Most of X-DAV's top officials are taken into federal custody at the same time, and also air-lifted out of the city. The entire company is shut down. Employees are fired. Alts working for them will lose their stipend and must now begin paying their own rent/phone bills/etc. A few of the higher-ranked alts (like Roman) are trying to keep everyone in contact and take over where X-DAV's execs left off. Not for missions, but just to make sure none of the Zenners are completely screwed by the shutdown.
All alts that are not already real are forced to become real when the servers shut down.
Mysteriously, even though all of X-DAV's other websites are down, the forums remain running. There's even a notice from one of the GMs explaining the situation re: government shutdown of the servers! There's nothing in that notice hinting at the merge, though.
People with access to the alchemist guild building might be able to ask around and find out that the forum servers are now being hosted there.
