As per the weekchange comment:
On Saturday, January 29th, the WifiCafe will be hosting a dance-off competition. Fliers have been circulating, as well as emails for those on the mailing list and adverts on their website and other places. This event is open to all, with prizes consisting of free products from the cafe for future visits, and is mostly a social event. Anyone attending, either to take part or to observe, will be given a card entitling them to one free drink and two free baked products of their choice during the event. (Whole cakes or pies are not included, but slices are.)
There is no dress code (so long as you're clothed), and the music will be mostly folksy, making the event akin to a faire. Dancers will, well, dance. Judging will be determined by the audience with applause. Louder applause will earn someone a win. The dance off will be held in phases, where people are pitted against each other in small groups, allowing for breaks. Bottled water will be available for dancers, as well as fruit juices, free of charge.
Since advertising has been going on since around new years', it will likely be a busy event, more-so than most of their Zen-meets. The seating will be rearranged to provide dance space with tables set up more for viewing purposes. The event is taking place in the evening, so as not to interupt the flow of regular service during the day.
This is the first such event for the WifiCafe.

This post is for plotting/discussing who will be attending and any logs you want to arrange for the event. Alison will, of course, be there! ALL NIGHT! And very jingly. David will also be there, but kind of hovering in the background so he's not stealing the spotlight. They'll also have extra staff in to handle customers while Alison is involved with getting audience judging and dealing with competitors and so on.
